20090215[TX2500 System Freeze During Network Video Play Back]

Posted by on Sunday, February 15, 2009 (PST)

TX2500;Video;Freeze;Network Monitor;Vista
Don't know if this is a issue for every computer. What I have found is if the network monitor driver is enabled, during play a video which is on the network. The system will randomly freeze. It's not recoverable. I have to reboot the system. When I do testing, I just simply drag the time bar on the media player with network monitor driver enable at network card property. The system freeze. Once I disable it by unchecked network monitor driver through network property. The system freeze issue went away. It seems network monitor driver is the root cause of this problem. The network monitor driver currently installed on my system is 3.0. So if you have the same problem, you might want to try to disable network monitor driver during network video play back.
